This session will go over the latest developments for DACA recipients under President Biden’s executive order to Promote Family Unity and Help Dreamers. Learn about parole in place and how Dreamers can normalize immigration status.

This session will go over the latest developments for DACA recipients under President Biden’s executive order (EO) to Promote Family Unity and Help Dreamers. Learn about parole in place and how Dreamers can normalize immigration status. Learn what  your institution can do to support Dreamers under the EO. Learn about options for Dreamers employment and citizenship paths after they graduate.

Learning Objectives:

  • Attendees will learn what 212(d) waivers are, advance parole travel, and their advantages; how Dreamers can qualify and the life cycle for Dreamers to obtain lawful immigration status through the EO.
  • Attendees will learn about options for normalizing Dreamer students and employees immigration status through H-1B sponsorship under the EO.
  • Attendees will discuss supporting the EO, community outreach and messaging for their Dreamer constituents. This will include joining advocacy countering challenges and opposition to the EO.
