Discuss J-1 English proficiency policies that improve exchange visitor well-being and foster sustainable programs. Perspectives will be shared based on hundreds of conversations with ISSS staff and state department officials. Data-driven portions of the presentation will be sharing results of industry-wide surveys of host institutions and thousands of responses from exchange visitors.

Understand the need for English proficiency policies that provide objective, consistent, sustainable and safe exchange visitors programs.
