Mrs. Alurwar has been at UC Davis as an student advisor since March 2013 where she was the point of contact for all work authorizations for F-1 and J-1 students. Beginning May 2016 she transitioned to scholar advising working with J-1 scholars at UC Davis. She also serves as a Co Chair to the NAFSA Post DOC SIG. Prior to UC Davis she was SIU as an International Advisor for 3 years working extensively on CPT and OPT. In addition she was an active student ambassador in the International Student and Scholar Office at Siue, where she discovered her passion for International students while pursuing her Bachelor's playing an active role as president of the Siue International Student Council. Mary enjoys working with the international and university community to aid in any way she can including promoting various cultural events and informing others about immigration policies and reform.
