Presentation Description: It is never too early to prepare our international students for their immigration future!Join an experienced immigration attorney and NAFSAn to discuss the requirements of core temporary work visa options for international students (OPT, H-1B, and others), permanent-residency pathways, and practical guidance on advising students to best position themselves for navigating our immigration system after graduation.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion, participants will be able to understand and identify the core legal requirements for common work visa options for international students, such as practical training, H-1B, and others.
Upon completion, participants will be able to advise international students on the connection between their curricular/academic choices and the availability of post-graduation visa options.
