In education abroad, we think and do much focused on increasing access to study abroad for students, faculty and others. In diving deep to solve for access, do we sometimes overlook the most basic facets of accessibility to education abroad? This session explores the notion of access points, and will test on a fundamental level the accessibility of the experience and our offices. Join this interactive exercise to consider the basic accessibility of your ed abroad opportunities, and leave with actionable ideas that can immediately increase your student body’s access to global learning.
Learning Objectives:
Take a step back regarding "access" and see the experience through others', particularly outsiders' eyes.
Identify fundamental access points which are absolutely critical for student access; the "little" things.
Leave the session with actionable ideas which are easy to implement and are likely to have an immediate impact on access.
